The NBA G-League still stands

The coronavirus pandemic hit hard at various sports leagues that failed to finish the season, and that even the start of a new one is uncertain. One of them is the NBA G-League, which was canceled and at the moment there is not much information about its future. Harrisson Faigen, from the Silver Screen Roll site, has revealed that the start of the 2020-21 NBA G-League season still stands and various scenarios are already being explored.

“The NBA G-League and its teams are currently considering playing the 2020-21 season, which could take place in a partial or full bubble.”

Harrisson Faigen reported, adding

“The stages are on the table in this nascent conversation, including a full season or aiming to play 24 games, in 6 to 8 weeks, in a bubble, followed by some travel.”

Another option that was reported was to create regional bubbles, all with the firm objective of not losing the 2020-21 season of the NBA G-League. It is worth mentioning that according to the CDMX Capitanes’ plans, the 2020-21 season would be the first they would play in the G-League, so they will surely be working with the NBA to find a solution and be able to make their debut.
