Jujuy al día® – With the presence of 24 federations, the approval of the new Social Statute of the Argentine Basketball Confederation was determined by a majority. There were 22 votes in favor, one negative, and one abstention in a meeting that was supervised by the supervisors of the General Inspection of Justice of the Nation.

Professor Eduardo Ortuño, Sports Coordinator of the Intervention of the Basketball Federation of the Province accompanied by Gustavo Lamas, explained that for Jujuy it is highly positive, since it will generate a direct relationship in all basketball instances of the country.

It indicated that these modifications be applied, the right to non-discrimination, the best interests of the child and adolescent, political and ideological neutrality, positive actions for people with disabilities and gender equality in all bodies (of government , management, control, courts), promotion of transparent and ethical policies, application of the anti-doping regulations established by Law 26,912 and the regulations that are issued in this matter.

There will also be a Basketball Arbitration Court, which will resolve disputes between Federations, Associations, clubs, AdC, coaches, referees and players, a double disciplinary instance and the enabling of digital forms for the holding of Assemblies, Board meetings and Board of Directors.

For this process of changes, Ortuño clarified that the Argentine Basketball Confederation (CABB) took into account several participation steps in the preparation and opinion of the new statute, which had four reviews by the FIBA ​​legal area, but there was also a broad discussion with debate of the Board of Directors and Extended CD.

Jujuy, obtained the project, for its internal debate. 54 explanatory and interactive meetings were held throughout the country, with the participation of Associations and clubs of the Province.

Finally, Ortuó said that this action generated the participation of many clubs and organizations that shaped the new structure where the CABB will sit in the coming years.
