The government sets restrictions on the return of sport and postpones competitions to January

The sport is starting to see a little light after a few weeks of darkness. Among the measures made public yesterday by the Government in the de-escalation plan to combat the pandemic, the opening of the facilities and the possibility that the basic teams and competitions in Catalonia are being re-trained from Monday stand out. . It will be one reopening with nuances and with many restrictions because outdoor sports facilities will be able to open with a maximum occupancy of 50% of capacity and, always, with access control. As for gyms, pavilions and swimming pools, they will be able to reopen with a maximum capacity of 30%. In addition, in these facilities, it will be necessary to request an appointment and the changing rooms will not be able to be used, except for the swimming pools.

These measures would remain fine in the third phase of the plan, mand would expand to 70% the capacity of outdoor facilities and 50% indoor. The point that has generated the most debate is the resumption of competitions, which the government does not plan until January 4. From the UFEC it is considered “a small step” but still insufficient.
