(Reuters) – Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho received a suspended European competition ban on a game on Friday, UEFA said.
The Portuguese coach was blamed for kicking off Spurs’ Europa League game late on October 29 at Royal Antwerp.
UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body said the ban would be postponed for a trial period of one year.
Tottenham has also been fined € 25,000 ($ 29,565) for the late kick-off and € 3,000 for violating UEFA equipment regulations.
Spurs lost the game 1-0 in Belgium, but were the best in Group J ahead of Antwerp and LASK Linz due to the goal difference.
