English soccer legend Ryan Giggs was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend Kate Greville.
Police were called to the Wales manager’s home in Worsley just after 10 p.m. on Sunday, where they had paid £ 1.7 million ($ 3.1 million). “A malfunction” was reportedly reported.

Man United idol, 46, Giggs, was questioned on suspicion of actual assault and assault.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police Department said: “The police were called at 10:05 pm on Sunday to report an incident. A woman in her thirties suffered minor injuries but did not need treatment.
“A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault in Section 47 and Section 39.”
Police said the arrested man had been released on bail pending an investigation.
A representative for Ryan Giggs said he denied the allegations and was helping the police with their ongoing investigation.
The statement said: “Mr. Giggs denies any allegations of assault against him. He is working with the police and will continue to assist them with their ongoing investigation. “
Giggs arrived from Pendleton Police Station yesterday afternoon after hours of interrogation and was taken away in a black Mercedes.
Sources said he lived in the house he bought for his mother, Lynne, on the same street as his £ 3.5 million ($ 6.4 million) pad that is for sale.
Giggs had been to the Manchester Hotel Football, which he jointly owns, earlier in the day to follow Man United’s 1-0 defeat by Arsenal.
