Riga’s “Dinamo” anchored in the last place in the Continental Hockey League (KHL) after a series of 14 losses, causing reflections on the causes of prolonged failures. In an interview with Latvian Television, Guntars Paste, an adviser to the KHL club, said that it would be wrong to direct everything to the crisis caused by the coronavirus, but an important aspect is the low level of mastery of the attracted visiting players.
In the new season, “Dinamo” attracted 20 legionnaires, but it did not help the team, which is convincingly the most difficult in the league to score a goal. Pēteris Skudra is both the head coach of Riga “Dinamo” and performs the duties of the general manager, however, Paste emphasized that the management of the club will cope on its own and will know who to demand responsibility for.
