Phil Neville calls Paul Pogba’s omission from Man Utd XI “shameful”

Describing Paul Pogba’s omission from XI’s Man Utd start as “utterly shameful”, Phil Neville believes the Frenchman is essential to any future success of the club.

Pogba found themselves among the substitutes again on both Wednesday and Saturday as United’s week was filled with mixed fortunes.

The Red Devils disappointed Istanbul Basaksehir by taking all three points from the clash with Everton.

It was not until the 82nd minute for Pogba to get a run-out at Goodison Park after playing just over half an hour in Turkey, infuriating Neville with confusion.

“I still find it utterly shameful that Pogba is not on this team,” Neville told Premier League Productions.

“For United to win a league, for United to be successful, for United to play the style of football that Ole expects, Pogba must play.”

So far this season, Pogba has made more appearances as a sub than as a starter (six versus five).
