Now Paul Pogba has returned to Manchester United, after getting ‘fresh air’ on the French national team. What did MU Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer say about this?

Pogba’s future at Old Trafford was again speculated at the previous international break, following his participation with the French national team which was handled by Didier Deschamps.

This speculation was partly ignited by Deschamps’ statement, which among other things said that Pogba needed the right conditions to appear okay. He even said the former Juventus star could not be happy with his time appearing and his playing position at Man United.

What did Ole Gunnar Solskjaer say?

“Today I’ve spoken with Paul. Of course he feels unhappy when he doesn’t play much nor does he play well. He is not happy with his performance (at the club). But Paul had difficulties last season,” he told the Guardian.

“Then he contracted COVID-19. But three matches in the French national team helped him get fit and rhythm. I have spoken to him and he feels more fit. In France, he plays in the same position as when he played with us, so there is no problem. with that, “said Solskjaer.

In the French national team, Paul Pogba played almost an hour against Finland. He then appeared against Portugal and Sweden, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer indicated that Pogba could soon return to the starting XI at MU.

“It’s about gaining momentum and rhythm, and Paul said he was feeling better towards the end of the games against Portugal and Sweden,” said Solskjaer.

“After contracting COVID-19, he needed time to recover but now he looks more fit and strong. I think he will continue to get better and become a player, and a figure, which is very important to us. It is very important to have him at his best.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was also asked for comments regarding Paul Pogba’s statement, who said playing with his colleagues in the French national team was like ‘fresh air’ in the midst of a ‘difficult period in career’ with Manchester United.

“While doing international assignments, you will of course feel happy to meet friends who have grown together again. I was like that (when I was playing) in Norway. Of course it would be nice to meet friends,” said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer diplomatically.
