Chicago Bears starting quarterback Nick Foles had to be escorted off the field in a cart late Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings.

Foles took a hard touch from Ifeadi Odenigbo as he was about to throw and he fell heavily on his right shoulder. He lay on the ground for long minutes.

There were only 44 seconds left on the dial. Veteran Tyler Bray played the last streak of play.

The Vikings ultimately won the game 19-13.

Bears coach Matt Nagy said after the game that Foles suffered a hip or leg injury and needs to be evaluated more seriously.

“We don’t know yet if it’s his leg or his hip,” he said during a press briefing. It’s frustrating and it’s been difficult for us lately. No one wants to be on the pitch with his teammates more than him. “

The 31-year-old was 15 in 26 for gains of 106 yards against 1 interception.
