The Australian Remy Gardner won his first Moto2 class victory on Sunday at the Portuguese Grand Prix, the Italian Eenea Bastianini being crowned 2020 world champion. Remy Gardner, the son of Wayne Gardner, the 500cc world champion in 1987, finished detached after passing in the last laps the Italian Luca Marini who finished 2nd in the championship. Marini is himself the half-brother of Valentino Rossi, seven-time world champion in the premier category.
