Manchester United news and broadcast of the latest RECAP Cristiano Ronaldo news to Man Utd and news from Paul Pogba

Manchester United have no plans to sign Cristiano Ronaldo again despite recent reports.

Transfer gossip columns were filled this week with the suggestion that United could try to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in the next summer transfer window as he is unsure about his future at Juventus.

A report in Argentina suggested that Ronaldo was “tempted” by the prospect of returning to Manchester, while a branch in Portugal even indicated that United had made a “formal offer” to bring the superstar back to Old Trafford .

However, MEN Sport believes that is not the case with United sources laughing at the suggestion that a deal is currently being discussed.

Ronaldo’s contract does not expire until 2022, so United would not only have to meet their high wage demands themselves, but would also have to pay a transfer fee to secure his exit.

This makes the prospect of a deal highly unlikely as United didn’t sign Jadon Sancho in the summer transfer window over similar concerns about the total cost of such a deal in the coronavirus financial climate.
