LeBron James, Joe Biden wins, Donald Trump, reaction

LeBron James was never shy of where his allegiances stood in the US President’s race.

The NBA mega-star wasn’t on board with Donald Trump and on Sunday he summed up his feelings perfectly after Joe Biden was named 46th President of the United States.

Biden passed the required 270-vote threshold after being declared the winner in the key state of Pennsylvania.

James never skipped a beat and used one of his and one of the most iconic moments in NBA final history to celebrate the historic moment.

In the 2016 NBA Finals and after the Cavaliers fell 3-1 against the Warriors, James led a historic comeback.

It was in Game 7 when he made a block for the ages. At 89-89, less than two minutes on the clock and with the Warriors on break, James pursued Andre Iguodala and etched a moment into NBA folklore. A moment that was perfectly repeated by NBA commentator Mike Breen with an expression of disbelief on his face: “Blocked by James … LeBron James with the rejection.”

James took advantage of the moment when Joe Biden’s face was photographed on his own body and Trump’s face was placed on the body of Andre Iguodala.

Social media has eaten up the photo of “The King,” and at the time of writing it has been retweeted over 230,000 times and received over 720,000 likes.

Warrior star Draymond Green let James know the Los Angeles Lakers can now return to the White House to celebrate their NBA championship.

Several teams that won the championship refused to attend the White House during Donald Trump’s presidency.

“Yoooo @KingJames, you can go to the White House and celebrate your Title G!” Green wrote.

James’ answer couldn’t have been more perfect when he wrote, “Yo, we’re back, my G! I also have my tequila and vino. “

Of course, it wasn’t just James who celebrated Biden’s historic victory with fellow NBA stars who attended the celebrations.

“Well America trusted the process and it paid off,” wrote Joel Embiid, the great Philadelphia 76er.

“Your vote counts !!!!” Kyle Lowry, the guardian of the Toronto Raptors, wrote.

“I’m very excited to have @JoeBiden as president, but growing up with two black women with my mother and sister!” Utah jazz star Donovan Mitchell wrote. “For them it is really unbelievable to have someone like @KamalaHarris at the helm of the defendant, not only for black women but also for black women!”
