Lanzarote Raqueta Club faces the Absolute Canary Islands Championship

The expedition arrived in Tenerife this Friday with great enthusiasm in the suitcases

The Lanzarote Raqueta Club team has traveled to the Tenerife municipality of El Rosario, to contest the Canary Islands Championship in absolute category this weekend and organized by the Canarian Badminton Federation together with the Badminton Tenzul El Rosario Club.

The Lanzarote Raqueta Club selection for this Canary Islands Championship is made up of Wassima Azzouz, Isam Bassat, Alberto Cabrera, Luis Miguel Fuentes, Javier Galván, Lioba García, Tomas Genovéz, Indira Hunt, Ainara Olivero, Ángel Ortiz and Zeneida Ortiz. In total there are 11 members (5 girls and 6 boys) who will fight to get into one of the 5 finals in both the singles and doubles modalities.

Among the selection highlights the presence of 3 promising young people from Lanzarote badminton such as Ángel Ortiz, Javier Galván and Ainara Olivero, all of them members of the Insular Center for Technification.

The matches will begin this Saturday at 10 in the morning at the San Isidro El Chorrillo Pavilion, with Tomás Genovéz facing Jonathan Dorta, Ángel Ortíz facing Samuel Rodríguez, Javier Galván doing the same with Lot Socas, Alberto. Cabrera facing Adrián González and Luis Miguel Fuentes facing David Rostro. After them several more singles and doubles matches will continue, with participation closing on Saturday at 9 pm. Sunday will be the turn of the final phases.

This competition will be the first to be held since March, taking place in the face of strong sanitary measures following the protocols established by the Spanish Badminton Federation.
