Joaquín Niemann tests positive for coronavirus and the Augusta open is lost

This Friday the national golfer Joaquín Niemann announced on his social networks that he contracted the coronavirus and that he will not be in the Augusta Master.

This is one of the four most important tournaments, better known as majors, on the men’s golf calendar.

“Unfortunately I tested positive for coronavirus and I will not be able to play the Augusta Masters next week,” wrote the golfer.

Niemann made no secret of his disappointment at missing this tournament, where he had hopes of winning it.

“This tournament means a lot to me, I have very good memories of when I played it as LAAC champion and I am truly very disappointed that I cannot play it this year, but I will do my best to have a quick recovery while supporting my family and myself healthy team, “he said.
