For a week, a famous face has appeared in the training of Servette FC. This is Gaël Clichy. The former French international (20 caps), passed through Arsenal (2003-2011) and Manchester City (2011-2017) where he notably rubbed shoulders with Arsène Wenger and Pep Guardiola, has been free since his departure from Istanbul Basaksehir this summer.

After training for a while with Thonon Évian Grand Genève FC (French D5), he now takes part in the daily sessions of the Garnet club. The latter disclosed the information on his website, adding that Clichy recently moved to the region with his family.

“I thank Servette FC for their welcome and the possibility they give me to be able to keep myself in shape within a competitive group, while being close to my family in Geneva,” reacted the player.

It remains to be seen whether this collaboration is destined to remain as it is or whether it can lead to a contract.

During his career, Gaël Clichy notably won three English championships and competed in the 2010 World Cup as well as Euro 2012.
