Hans Vanaken has been one of the best players in the Jupiler Pro League for several years now. Something that does not seem to change immediately. In the meantime, Filip Joos has already seen a potential successor for Vanaken emerge: Charles De Ketelaere.

De Ketelaere has already made an impression at Club Brugge this season and Joos has also noticed that. “What makes De Ketelaere special is that he is not special. In the sense that he always opts for the logical solution. He reminds me of Vanaken ”, says Joos in Extra Time.

“De Ketelaere will never plunge into something for which there is no solution, as Emmanuel Dennis does. No, De Ketelaere always does it simply ”, Joos concludes.

De Ketelaere maakte dit seizoen al geregeld indruk bij Club Brugge en dat is ook Joos opgevallen. “Wat De Ketelaere speciaal maakt is dat hij niet speciaal is. In de zin van dat hij altijd voor de logische oplossing kiest. Hij doet me aan Vanaken denken”, aldus Joos in Extra Time.

“De Ketelaere zal zich nooit in iets storten waar geen uitkomst in is, zoals Emmanuel Dennis dat wel doet. Neen, De Ketelaere doet het altijd simpel”, besluit Joos.
