According to Foxtel, the second ODI on Sunday between Australia and India was the most watched ODI in subscription television history.
An audience of 585,000 went to Foxtel Platforms and Kayo to watch Steve Smith weave his magic in a 51-run win over India at SCG.
That number also made the game the third most popular sports program on subscription television (STV) of all time.
The ONLY place to see every single game on the India Tour of Australia is Fox Cricket, which is available on Kayo. New to Kayo? Get your free trial now and start streaming right away>
The previous record was part of the 2015 World Cup final, when Australia beat New Zealand in the MCG.
The Sunday audience was 41 percent larger than the highest-rated ODI between Australia and India in the summer of 2018-19.
Foxtel’s audience for the first ODI on Friday was also large with 470,000 viewers across all platforms.
The WBBL final followed on Saturday evening and was recorded in the record books with 131,000 spectators as the most-watched WBBL game of all time on STV – an increase of 24 percent compared to last year’s final.
