COVID-19: It’s getting more complicated for the Giants

The New York Giants announced on Friday that three other players in their roster have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the daily USA Today, would be offensive lineman Matt Peart, halfback Kaden Smith and wide receiver Dante Pettis. Their names will be placed on the list of players unavailable due to COVID-19.

The three players have entered a period of isolation. Under intensive NFL protocol, they are unlikely to get the nod to return to play in time for the Giants’ next game, against the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 29.

The New York squad announced earlier in the week that kicker Graham Gano was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Monday. No in-person team meetings have been held this week at the Giants.

While the contact tracing investigation is underway, the organization has posted on Twitter that it plans to return to training next Monday.

Titans’ offensive line is in bad shape

In addition, the Tennessee Titans will be deprived of several key elements for their Sunday duel against the Baltimore Ravens.

The NFL team announced Friday that six players will miss their next clash, including left guard Rodger Saffold and linebacker Jadeveon Clowney.

Last week, the offensive lineman injured an ankle in the game against the Indianapolis Colts. However, he had been able to finish the meeting.

The Titans could also be without center Ben Jones, who has pain in his knee. His case is uncertain against the Ravens. Recall that the Tennessee club must already do without left guard Taylor Lewan, who tore a ligament in one knee in October.

For his part, Clowney will miss a second game in three weeks. He wasn’t from the clash against the Chicago Bears on Nov. 8, but he was from the Titans’ lineup against the Colts. The star linebacker has a knee injury.

The Titans are 6-3 in 2020. They started the year strong, with five wins in their first five outings. They have had some hiccups in recent times, however, losing three of their last four duels.
