COVID-19: 17 players infected in the NFL

The NFL revealed on Tuesday that 17 players tested positive for COVID-19 between November 8 and 14. There are also 35 people employed by one of the Goodell Circuit teams who also contracted the virus during the same period.

This means 95 footballers and 175 staff members have been infected with COVID-19 since August 1.

The Washington football team on Tuesday saw its first member of its organization receive a positive diagnosis since hostilities in the NFL began this season. The team did not give details regarding the identity of the individual, but he is a player. According to the NFL Network, the athlete did not accompany the team to Detroit last week, where Washington faced the Lions.

This means that there are only two teams left that have not been affected by the virus since the start of the 2020 season, namely the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams.

Cases in the Giants and Falcons

In addition, the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons placed the name of one of their footballers on the list of players unavailable due to COVID-19 on Tuesday.

They are kicker Graham Gano (Giants) and wide receiver Laquon Treadwell (Falcons).

The Big Apple roster is on recess this week, as the Georgia club face the Saints in New Orleans next Sunday.
