College Football victors, Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow have yet to win in the NFL

The first three weeks of the NFL have been a harsh reality for Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert, quarterbacks selected in the last Draft by Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers, in positions one and six, respectively. So far, the two players have added five games, with four defeats and a draw.

Accustomed to the glories of College Football, the two freshmen have struggled with adapting to the NFL, facing stronger and faster defenses compared to college football.

Joe Burrow, who has a record of 25 wins and three losses by LSU, accumulates two losses and one draw, against the Philadelphia Eagles, last Sunday (27), in the NFL. Its performance improved week by week.

At first, against the Los Angeles Chargers, it was inconsistent – with 193 air yards, an interception, a fumble and a touchdown per race. In the sequence, he kept the hope of victory alive against the Cleveland Browns, with 316 aerial yards and three touchdowns through pass. On the other hand, he suffered two fumbles. In front of the Eagles, Burrow added 312 air yards and two touchdowns and took good care of the ball. However, he suffered from a dysfunctional offensive line, suffering eight sacks.

Justin Herbert played 42 games at College Football, with 29 wins and 13 losses for Oregon Ducks. In the NFL, he has put in good numbers, but failed to bring the Los Angeles Chargers to the long-awaited victory. In his debut he was warned minutes before the start of the match that he would replace Tyrod Taylor, who had a punctured lung due to a bad injection. Even so, he managed to take the game against the mighty Kansas City Chiefs to overtime, succumbing with a long field goal from Harrisson Buttker. Last Sunday, against the Carolina Panthers, he had another chance to win the match in the final minutes, but he stayed in the way, with time having expired and Chargers at the door of the end zone.
