Fernanda Saponara broke the tie against Juliana Viana (21-19, 19-21, 22-20) and the duo formed by Macías and Nishimura extended the score in doubles (16-21, 21-15, 21-15). Just for statistics, Sania Lima and Tamires Santos gave the last game to the local team against Inés Castillo and Paula La Torre (21-14, 21-17).

In the second duel, the bicolor had no complications to overcome Malvinas Islands. With a resounding 5-0, he signed his second win, in which Micaela Flores and Micaela Castillo made their debut. With this, he is one step away from securing his pass to the ‘semis’ of the tournament.

This Friday, the group phase will close with the duel against the United States. If they win, they would be first and face the second of Group A on Saturday, which is made up of Canada, Mexico and Guatemala.
