Jakarta

Thomas Partey asked Emmanuel Adebayor for advice when he received offers from several English clubs. Adebayor also advised Partey to choose Arsenal.

Partey was one of Mikel Arteta’s main targets in the transfer market last summer. The Gunners finally got the Ghanaian midfielder from Atletico Madrid in the final seconds before the close of the market.

Partey was recruited by Arsenal after the North London club made up for his buyout clause worth 50 million euros. His arrival at the Emirates Stadium received a warm welcome from supporters on social media.

Adebayor revealed that Partey had asked him for advice before moving to England. To Adebayor, the 27-year-old midfielder admitted that Manchester United and Chelsea also wanted him.

Adebayor also advised Partey to choose Arsenal. According to him, Arsenal is suitable for Partey to develop themselves.

“He told me that several clubs from England, namely Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and others showed interest in him and he needed advice,” said Adebayor as reported. Metro.

“I advised him to go to Arsenal because I had the opportunity to play there and I think moving there will be good for his development.”

“Arsenal is more than just a club, it is a family and I am impressed by the performance so far in the Premier League,” said Adebayor.

Adebayor did strengthen Arsenal in 2006-2009. The former Togo striker made 142 appearances and contributed 62 goals for Arsenal.

Thomas Partey himself has played four times in the Premier League, three of which have started. His neat performance made Partey stay up as The Next Patrick Vieira.
