In the wake of the vortex: 1. FC Köln have been without a win for 18 Bundesliga games. Will the “Effzeh” follow what has already happened in other clubs under coach Markus Gisdol?

SEven in the final phase, when it became increasingly clear that 1. FC Köln would not win the 18th Bundesliga game in a row, these happy chants rang out from the south curve of the Müngersdorfer Stadium. “Get up when you’re from Cologne,” the fans shout. They paid homage to their goalkeeper: “Timo Horn, Timo Horn, Timo Horn!” And they shouted: “Come on FC.” However, nobody could be seen. At some point it turned out that a small group of supporters had deposited a mobile music system in front of the stadium to give the weak Cologne team acoustical support. Vain.

The Rhinelander lost 1: 2 against Union Berlin and in the end could be happy that there were no real fans in the south curve. Because after this performance there would have been whistles and complaints, probably some would have asked for a coach change. Only defender Rafael Czichos said: “It’s just bad, you never get a point in the Bundesliga.”
