The 2 names on the Heat shortlist to replace Crowder

After an accession to the NBA Finals, the Heat must also prepare for some turbulence for this offseason. Players are free to go, like Goran Dragic or Jae Crowder. For the latter, the front office would already have two names to replace it.

In the NBA finals this season, the Heat surprised more than one with his performances. Led by a super Jimmy Butler, Miami came close to creating a small feat by casting doubt on the Lakers, but teammates from LeBron James were just too strong. For the Florida franchise, it is therefore necessary to turn to the free agency from now on, in search of reinforcements.

Because besides Butler, we should not forget the other players who have had a great influence on this season. We can think of Goran Dragic, free agent and absent for much of the final, or Jae Crowder.

The winger, who was important in the playoffs with his award-winning shots, is available on the market. Problem is, the Heat want to save money for free agency 2021 and a certain Giannis Antetokounmpo. The franchise could therefore look to other players to replace him according to the Sun Sentinel.

For example, if holding Crowder becomes a problem, there are viable Plan B’s out there. One could be Paul Millsap, if the Nuggets decide to bank on Jerami Grant and develop Michael Porter Jr. Then, the Suns refurbishment could give way to an Aron Baynes departure.

Two interesting targets for Miami, even if they do not evolve in the same position. Millsap is more interior, able to catch rebounds and brings good production to the scoring. Baynes on the other side is a pivot capable of planting behind the arc.

Two names to replace Crowder, on condition of course that the latter leaves Florida. Whatever the targets, Pat Riley is ready to do anything to strengthen his workforce, even if it means taking a very risky decision for their future.

In Miami, we are preparing for some changes in the workforce. Will the front office be able to do good business? With Riley, you better beware!
