Tennis – Eugenie Bouchard retires in the 2nd round of qualifying for the ITF tournament in Macon

Quebecer Eugenie Bouchard was forced to retire on Tuesday during her second round qualifying match for the ITF tournament in Macon, Georgia, United States.

Bouchard, 140^e World racquet, trailed 4-6, 0-3 after just over an hour of play against American Katie Volynets (325th) when she forfeited.

Bouchard was the first seed in the qualifying table.
