Sixers set to poach two executives in Indiana and Orlando

If Elton Brand has retained his place and visibly retains all the confidence of the owners of the Sixers, the rest of the organizational chart of Philadelphia is currently upset around GM.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the team should notably record the arrival of two new leaders: Peter Dinwiddie, currently vice-president of basketball operations at the Pacers, and Prosper Karangwa, former player of the French championship (Vichy, Besançon, Paris- Levallois) and current director of scouting in Orlando.

The recruiting of Peter Dinwiddie (no connection to Spencer) is a nice take on the franchise and a surprise.

This pure product of Indianapolis had thus given up on his promising career as a lawyer in contract law in order to work for his heart club, the Pacers. In 2006, he joined the ticket sales team. A job well below his skills, but the only one then available in the franchise.

He nevertheless quickly rose through the ranks, catching the eye of Donnie Walsh then Larry Bird, by establishing himself as the specialist in collective agreement of the team but developing his field of expertise to become vice-president of basketball operations in 2017. In a portrait of The Athletic last year, the two leaders also explained that it was only a matter of time before seeing Peter Dinwiddie become GM.

In 2017, he was also one of the finalists for the position in Milwaukee. For the moment, however, it is not known what will be his title in Philadelphia, as well as that of Prosper Karangwa.
