Roland Garros 2020: Robert Farah and Juan Cabal, qualify for the semifinals – Tennis – Sports

The first set began with a danger zone for the Colombians. In the third game, Cabal could not find his first serve and gave many advantages to his rivals. Farah missed two volleys at the net and Nielsen was returning very well. Cabal and Farah took 9 minutes to get this game through.

Although it was easier for the Europeans to defend their serve, Cabal and Farah, although working more on the points, they defended themselves and did not allow themselves to break to keep up with the possibility of defending the sleeve.

For the second set, he did not change the game in what was seen in the first set. Nielsen and Puetz they were still serious about their serve and the Colombians came close to going down in the second and sixth games because Cabal was not serving or returning well.

But Cabal and Farah were waiting for their moment and it came with Nielsen’s serve in the seventh game. The Colombians managed to take the game to their land with good returns, deep and strong, forcing the deuce.

There Nielsen made the mistake of a long balloon and then Farah closed the job with a good cross backhand. Colombians broke.

And without shining much, but taking advantage of the fact that the Europeans lowered the intensity of the game, Cabal and Farah took the second set 6-4.

The third set was very tight, so much so that the two couples they forced the ‘tie break’ to define the match in favor of the Colombians, who will face Mate Pavic and Bruno Soares in the semifinals.
