Reuben Foster is reactivated from the PUP list by the Washington Football Team

The Washington Football Team officially announced on Sunday (9) that Reuben Foster has been activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP), a list of players without pre-season conditions. The linebacker last acted in an NFL match in week 6 of the 2018 season.

Reuben Foster joined the team in the US capital in the same season via waivers. The linebacker was cut by the San Francisco 49ers after being arrested on domestic violence charges. However, the player spent the rest of that season on the league’s layoff list, and did not take the field for the new team.

Reinstated in 2019, Foster suffered a serious injury still during offseason activities. The defender broke the anterior cruciate and collateral lateral ligaments of the left knee, and also suffered an injury to the nerves of the foot.

Players who remain on the PUP list after the end of the preseason will not be able to enter the field during the first six weeks of the regular phase.

Selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2017 Draft, Rueben Foster had a successful career in college football, crowned by the award for best linebacker in 2016. However, the defender was unsuccessful in his transition to the NFL. In 16 games played by the 49ers in two seasons in the league, the linebacker has only 101 tackles (ten for loss of yards) and one defended pass.
