Outstanding performance by Sebastián Muñoz at The CJ Cup

Veteran American golfer Jason Kokrak was proclaimed new champion of the PGA Tour CJ Cup @ Shadow Creek tournament this Sunday by completing the fourth and final round with a signed card of 64 strokes (-8) and added 268 (-20), two advantage over the runner-up, his compatriot Xander Schauffele (270, -18).

Kokrak, 35, who tied the tournament’s best with his score on the final day of competition, also managed to win his first PGA Tour tournament as a professional.

The new champion was perfect throughout the round with eight birdies, including four in a row from the fifth hole.

Kokrak took home a cash prize of $ 1,755,000 and 500 points for the 2021 FedEx Cup qualifier.

The Spanish Jon Rahm continued without developing his best game and finished the fourth round with a discreet record of 72 strokes (par), which cost him to go down to seventeenth place in the general classification by adding 281 (-7).

Rahm, 25, who shared the spot with three other golfers, split three birdies and three bogeys.

His compatriot Sergio García, saved his best game for the last round of the tournament by delivering a signed card of 69 strokes (-3) that allowed him to rise 13 places in the final ranking in which he ranked twentieth with the sum of 282 hits (-6).
