CASUALTY WARD: The latest injury news and return flight dates are from the final
FINALS WEEK TWO
FRIDAY
Roosters vs Raiders 7:50 p.m. Sydney Cricket Ground
Last week’s Roosters team: 1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Josh Morris 4. Joseph Manu 5. Brett Morris 6. Luke Keary 7. Kyle Flanagan 8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 9. Freddy Lussick 10. Siosiua Taukeiaho 11. Boyd Cordner 16. Angus Crichton 13. Isaac Liu 12. Sitili Tupouniua 15. Lindsay Collins 18. Nat Butcher 19. Mitchell Aubusson
Team tips: The Roosters will greet skipper Jake Friend with a head blow for their indispensable rerun of the finale. Freund suffered a head blow in the early stages of his team’s final round against the Rabbitohs. Freund wasn’t risked against the Panthers, but the Tricolors will need his experience in a sudden death throes with the Raiders. Sonny Bill Williams will also play after missing the Roosters’ first final with a neck injury. Freddy Lussick and Nat Butcher will likely give way. Unless Sitili Tupouniua fails to overcome a nasty head injury against the panthers after hitting some studs in the face. If so, Butcher can reclaim his bankroll.
Last week’s Raiders team: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Semi Valemi 3. Jarrod Croker 4. Jordan Rapana 5. Nick Cotric 6. Jack Wighton 7. George Williams 8. Josh Papalii’i 9. Tom Starling 15. Iosia Soliola 11. John Bateman 12 Elliott Whitehead 13. Joseph Tapine 10. Dunamis Lui 14. Silver Havili 16. Hudson Young 17. Corey Harawira-Naera
Team tips: Coach Ricky Stuart expected us to stay loyal to the 17 who did the job against the Haie. Corey Horsburgh (foot) and Emre Guler (ankle) are still facing indefinite returns.

SATURDAY
Eels versus Rabbitoh’s 7:50 p.m. Bankwest Stadium
Last week’s eel team: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Maika Sivo 3. Michael Jennings 4. Waqa Blake 5. Blake Ferguson 6. Dylan Brown 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Junior Paulo 11. Shaun Lane 12. Ryan Matterson 13. Nathan Brown 14. Will Smith 15. Andrew Davey 16. Kane Evans 17. Marata Niukore
Team tips: The Eels suffered a one-two blow when wingers Maika Sivo and Blake Ferguson were out against the storm with leg injuries. Coach Brad Arthur confirmed Sivo would not play again this year after suffering an MCL knee injury. George Jennings is his likely replacement. However, in some promising news on Monday, the club confirmed that Ferguson’s injury was a “worsening of an impending knee problem” and he was “still a chance” for the do-or-die clash. The Australian Brent Read told NRL tonight: “There is talk that he will have a run on Wednesday … he’s 50-50 at the moment. Parramatta is optimistic that he will play this weekend. “Brad Takairangi will fight for a spot in the centers where the struggling Waqa Blake could be promoted to the wing if Ferguson is expelled.
Last week’s Rabbitohs team: 1. Corey Allan 2. Alex Johnston 3. Campbell Graham 4. Dane Gagai 5. Jaxson Paulo 6. Cody Walker 7. Adam Reynolds 8. Tevita Tatola 9. Damien Cook 10. Thomas Burgess 15. Liam Knight 12. Bayley Sironen 13 Cameron Murray 11th Jaydn Su’A 14th Mark Nicholls 16th Jed Cartwright 17th Keaon Koloamatangi
Team tips: Star hooker Damien Cook says his knee injury is more annoying than anything, but it won’t exclude him from a semi-final against the Eels. Cook knocked Kalyn Ponga on his knees, but it was the hit from the side in the next tackle that made him snap. However, Cooks said he was a bit of a starter for next Saturday night. Jack Johns is back in the selection frame after overcoming a finger injury, but the Bunnies are unlikely to change a winning formula.
