Nothing seems to prevent Michael Thomas from returning to the game.

The New Orleans Saints catcher has been on the sidelines since the first week of activities after suffering from a sprained ankle. Thomas appeared to be in a position to return to his job in week five, but he was sidelined by the team for disciplinary action.

Thomas was involved in a strikeout with teammate CJ Gardner-Johnson during practice. Head coach Sean Payton has indicated that all that could stop Thomas from being in uniform against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday is his state of health.

The 27-year-old Thomas was limited to three catches and 17 yards in his lone game of the 2020 campaign.
