EAGAN, Minn. – Injured groin, running back Dalvin Cook of the Vikings will miss Sunday’s game in Minnesota against the Atlanta Falcons.
Cook leads the NFL running back by far with 489 yards in 2020.
He notably had a 181-yard game against the Tennessee Titans.
Alexander Mattison is expected to get his first career start on Sunday.
A second-year player, he came over to Cook in the second half in Seattle last Sunday. He set a personal high with 112 rushing yards.
Minnesota (1-4) are looking for their first home win this year after two setbacks. Atlanta is 0-5.
