NBA Finals 2020 More than 30 businesses were damaged in Los Angeles
La conquest of the ring by the Lakers a decade after his thirteenth title unleashed the madness on the streets of los angeles, where thousands of people gathered to celebrate the title of the purple and gold team. A celebration that raised much criticism for not respecting the health rules in the midst of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
But not only the absence of masks or social distance marked the celebration of the citizens of Los Angeles. The city police had to intervene in the festivities after more than 30 commercial premises of the city were victims of vandalism and end up on fire, with the glass broken or shattered.
In addition 76 people were arrested during some celebrations in which until eight police officers had to be treated after suffering different attacks.
The Lakers, through a statement, have reported that for the moment they will not celebrate the traditional parade of champions due to the Covid pandemic: “We cannot wait to celebrate our NBA title with the fans. But, after consulting with The City Council and county authorities, we agree that the inclusive and joyous public celebration with them will take place as soon as it is safely possible to do so. In the meantime, thank you for your support. ”
