MU Penalty Not Enough To Shake Tottenham

Jakarta

Jose Mourinho is proud of Tottenham Hotspur’s performance. Even when Manchester United conceded a quick goal from the penalty spot, the players did not waver.

Tottenham Hotspur entered the second minute when they visited Manchester United at Old Trafford, Sunday (4/10/2020). Bruno Fernandes’ penalty dealt an early blow to the squad Lilywhites.

But Jose Mourinho’s men reacted quickly. Tanguy Ndombele and Son Heung-min pulled back the goals in the fourth and seventh minutes to turn the game around.

After Anthony Martial’s red card, Tottenham became increasingly unstoppable by MU. Harry Kane scored two goals, then Son scored the second, and Serge Aurier completed the team’s score to six goals.

Mourinho is satisfied with the performance of his players tactically and mentally. Apart from the first goal, the Portuguese manager said that MU could not do much.

“We prepared very well tactically and mentally, the team is ready. Once ready, even a penalty in the first minute and being 1-0 down doesn’t affect the team at all,” he was quoted as saying. Sky Sports.

“Some people can say you played 10 guys for a long time, which is true. But for me it’s also true that at 11 against 11, we played really well, we created big problems for them, we were leading 2-1, and they couldn’t find a solution to control us, “he added.

The victory over MU puts Tottenham in sixth place in the Premier League standings with seven points from four matches. Footage of the match can be watched on Mola TV via the following link.
