MTB: He goes down a bobsleigh track by bike … on one wheel

Bobsleigh is known for its maddening bursts of speed, but when is it when you go down the track on a mountain bike? And in the rear wheel! The answer is offered to us by Mathéo Grandjean, 18 years old, hope for downhill mountain biking (sixth junior at the Leogang Worlds).

The Frenchman, who also practices speed mountain biking on snow, hurtled down the 1,800 m and the 19 turns of the Olympic bobsleigh track of La Plagne in manual, in the rear wheel, the same track that the freeskier Kévin Rolland had ridden at skiing last March. The young teenager knows the discipline well, having recently joined the French bobsleigh team.
