Man Utd are considering four Jadon Sancho alternatives as the transfer deadline approaches

Manchester United are reportedly considering switching for one of Ousmane Dembele, Ismaila Sarr, Luka Jovic or Edinson Cavani in case they can’t close a deal for Jadon Sancho.

With the closing of the transfer window on Monday, it has come to a desperate time for United. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists they need another attack threat to fight for big wins this season.

Sancho has been the # 1 goal all summer but Dortmund still doesn’t seem ready to negotiate a price below the England international’s £ 108m valuation.

Now, according to Sky Sports United, there is no choice but to consider other last-minute options, with the clock ticking before October 5th.

Ousmane Dembele is believed to be high on Manchester United’s wish list

Barcelona’s Dembele is one they consider heavily. The La Liga giants are known for selling the French forward.

But the 23-year-old’s wage claims could be an issue as Barcelona insist United pay their full £ 215,000 a week salary.

Ismaila Sarr from Watford may be a more realistic option as the player is said to be available for around £ 40m.

Jovic, meanwhile, has been a huge disappointment at Real Madrid since joining from Benfica last summer and he could enjoy the opportunity to revive his career at Old Trafford.

Ismaila Sarr is another one they are considering

And a final, perhaps slightly shorter-term option is that of Edinson Cavani, who is a free agent after being released by PSG.

Although the Uruguayan would offer a lot of winning experience, he is obsolete at 33 and asking him to play in the Premier League at his age could be seen as a risk.

Whatever happens, there will be a busy couple of days at United as they strive to do a business or two before Monday on a squad that they know is in dire need of reinforcement.
