Ligue 2: Prior (Valenciennes) bitten by a Sochalien? – Football – L2 – Valenciennes

An act that could cost its author dearly. In the wake of a meeting without goals (0-0) and punctuated by 44 faults (22 on each side), Valenciennois and Sochaliens wanted to explain. An image of beIN Sports aroused misunderstanding. Approached by a Sochalien, the VAFC goalkeeper, Jérôme Prior, suddenly emerges with a cut in the cheek. The doorman then accused Ousseynou Thioune of having bitten him.

If the images require an investigation, Mr. Gaillouste, the referee of the meeting, necessarily noted the incident in his report. After the meeting, Sochaux coach Omar Daf and several of his players nevertheless wanted to defend Thioune. All said they had suffered or heard insults from Valenciennes players, including Teddy Chevalier and Jérôme Prior. Provocations which would therefore have led to unacceptable behavior. Case to be continued.
