Junior vs. Millionaires: How about they get intense?

There are no excuses here. Duque is not Diego. Arango is not Arao. Marquez is not Michael. Del Valle is not Vitinho nor Millonarios is Flamengo. That the intensity, that the rhythm, that the nervousness, that whistles and flutes. Junior in the League must make a difference and score victories if he wants to stay among the top eight and play the quarterfinals.

This Saturday, starting at 8:10 pm, at the Roberto Meléndez Metropolitan Stadium, Luis Amaranto Perea and his team will face the ‘Ambassadors’ and will have the opportunity to start showing that the local challenge is not too great after of the shameful international presentation against Flamengo (3-1), at the Maracaná stadium, the previous Wednesday, which finished laying the tombstone in the Copa Libertadores.

“Intensity is difficult for us, we have difficulty competing. Our League is not so strong to think that we are going international and with our rhythm it is enough, “said Perea after the game in Brazilian territory, trying to explain the enormous inferiority to a ‘Mengao’ full of substitutes.

And what if they get intense in Colombia? And what if they impose the rhythm in the League? … The Sharks are also out of tune in the domestic tournament. They need to tweak and improve their performance to change in the Creole competition and in the South American Cup (where they will face Plaza Colonia, see separate note) the blurred image they projected in the Libertadores.

For that purpose, the rojiblancos will again have Germán Mera, absent in the Maracana due to suspension. It is very likely, as has been his custom since Perea directs Junior, that there are several changes in the starting line-up apart from the return of the Valle del Cauca defender.

With whichever one he chooses, I hope they bring out some of the intensity, the rhythm, the touch, the character, the forcefulness and everything that they are missing so much abroad and in the country, against Patriotas and against Flamengo . It’s time.
