In Greece, supporters return to the stadiums

The Greek government on Monday (October 19) authorized the return to stadiums of a limited number of football supporters from this week under strict rules, after seven months behind closed doors due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The Champions League meeting between Olympiakos and Olympique de Marseille on Wednesday in Piraeus will be the first concerned by this relaxation with the presence of 3,500 supporters. The Europa League match between PAOK and the Cypriots of Omonia Nicosia will also welcome an audience Thursday in Thessaloniki. The announcement by the Greek authorities follows that of UEFA providing for a gradual return of spectators for all its competitions, up to 30% of the capacity of each stadium depending on local restrictions. .
