The Sports Secretariat, through the Directorate of Educational and Inclusive Policies of the Undersecretariat of Social Sports, continues to carry out the different activities scheduled throughout October within the framework of the Sports Inclusion Month.
The second day of the week dedicated to the Adapted Sports program had wheelchair basketball as an activity, where different hours were lived in an exciting meeting where the athletes of the program, teachers, and three conventional athletes who were encouraged to cross experiences participated .
The appointment took place at the Sporting Estrella Club with the presence of Carlos Desef, Nahuel Rojas, Martín Quiroga and Claudio Suárez, members of the PRODEA adapted basketball team, they were joined by three conventional athletes, Jesús Muñoz, Emanuel Cabañas and Pablo Cabañas Club Urquiza players who were also accompanied by their teacher Sergio Cabañas.
In the presentation of the sport, the referent of the Program, Mario Molina, welcomed the director of the Directorate of Educational and Inclusive Policies, Fernando Reus; Also accompanied by members of the Board of Directors of the Sporting Estrella Club. In addition, a presentation was made of each athlete present and Professor Daniel Tobares gave an introduction to the discipline, how it is divided according to the deficiency of each athlete and the main features of the regulations.
During the day it was possible to show several games, starting with the athletes of the program and interspersing the conventional players to lead to a totally inclusive meeting, in turn who was encouraged to sit in one of the chairs and share a unique experience was the director of the Direction, Fernando Reus.
The day of adapted sport will continue today afternoon from 5:00 p.m., a live interview will be carried out on the official Instagram of the Sports Secretariat: the virtual meeting will be with Maximiliano Ruggeri, player of the National Team. It will be of great interest, since the athlete will share the different experiences lived in sport, with the possibility that anyone in the public can ask and interact during the interview.
