The former Argentine soccer star and current coach of Gimnasia Esgrima La Plata, Diego
Maradona was isolated in preventive form this Tuesday, three days after his 60th birthday, for having had close contact with someone who has symptoms compatible with covid-19.

So far, the ’10’ does not present any symptoms of the disease, the doctor said, indicating that the results of the person who could be infected will be awaited “to see the steps to follow.”

Maradona will turn 60 on Friday, the day he must lead Gimnasia in its debut in the First Division championship, but that commitment may be lost due to sanitary measures.

The match against Patronato in La Plata was considered the occasion to honor Maradona for his birthday.

Maradona has kept himself away from the virus and had not participated in gymnastics training last week. When weeks ago one of the players tested positive, the coach was isolated preventively and subjected to tests that came back negative.
