Wednesday, October 7th, breakfast time: 200 investigators rang the doorbells all over the country. They had surrounded the Frankfurt DFB headquarters; they searched Vice-President Rainer Koch, a civilian judge. And with General Secretary Friedrich Curtius, who stood helplessly in front of them with two arms in plaster because he had fallen off a ladder.

Shortly afterwards, the boss, Fritz Keller, got involved in the federal press conference in Berlin.
