Is David Alaba really leaving Bayern Munich? As the “Sport Bild” reports, the third round of talks between Alaba’s father George and star advisor Pini Zahavi with the club officials failed. It is still about the salary of the ÖFB star.
According to the report, it should have found a secret meeting on Säbener Strasse on Friday. The conversation with sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge did not bring any rapprochement again. The sticking point is still the money. As reported, FC Bayern offers the Austrian “only” 11 million base salary, which can be increased to a total of 17 million per year through bonuses. Alaba’s side still demands around 20 million euros per year and was not convinced by a longer contract period (5 years). The ÖFB star should above all be valued by the club.
If the two sides fail to agree on a new contract, Alaba could switch in the summer for free. Most recently, there was speculation about a transfer to Juventus Turin or Real Madrid.
