As it has become a pleasant custom for Colombian Juan Sebastián Muñoz, once again the Bogota man finished off a great week of play on the PGA Tour, reaching ninth position this Sunday in the CJ Cup, a contest that delivered a prize bag nearby at ten million dollars and that was played at the Shadow Creek field in Las Vegas.

Muñoz, who presented rounds of 71-70-67 in the first three days, dispatched a final score of 69 hits (-3) to present a sum of 277 hits (-11) that allowed him to count his first Top-10 of the new season 2020-21 of the FedEx Cup and the third in a period of just seven weeks, once again demonstrating the current qualities of the capital.

Solid from ‘tee’ to ‘green’ in his first holes, Sebastián hit a great ‘chip’ on his third shot on par 5 of 4, then holed from 8 feet the first of the four ‘birdies’ that he contributed on the day . A ‘drive’ that had an email pique and ended up in the sand led to the only ‘bogey’ of the day, a play that retaliated with two ‘birdies’ in a row on its next two holes.

In 10 he made a short from 5 feet after a spectacular second shot that rolled perfectly, while in 11, with the short ‘tee’ and taking advantage of his renewed power from the start (more than 310 yards on average), he put it to the right and also approached with solvency, putting -2 on the day.

The final birdie was marked on the par 5 of the final hole, taking the water out of play at the entrance to the green on the second shot and putting it at nine feet with what, as said, managed to stay in the Top- 10 in the competition.

Far from slowing down, Muñoz is getting ready to travel to California on Monday, specifically to the Sherwood Country Club field in Thousand Oaks for the Zozo Championship, a contest in which the star Tiger Woods is the defending champion.

While in his tenth season, and in his 233rd tournament, the American Kokrak was finally able to be called champion on the PGA Tour, beating his rivals with a day of 64 (-8) with which he overcame a deficit of three strokes at the beginning and he beat a solid Xander Schauffele in the last nine holes.
