If the first game of the week with a leaderboard were any clue, we could look forward to another wild week of college football. Coastal Carolina dropped Louisiana # 21 30-27 on Wednesday night to kick off Week 7 action, which sees numerous other ranked teams in action against unranked opponents. While the SEC is clearly headlining Saturday’s CBS Game of the Week, which will see Alabama # 2 versus Georgia # 3, many other top teams should be on high alert in games where they’d prefer to win .
With matchups postponed with SEC, Big 12, and AAC top 10 teams, the ACC takes center stage as No. 13 Miami and No. 1 Clemson both play in the early wave of the day. After a blow against Clemson, the Hurricanes receive a team from Pittsburgh, which only lost one point in a row after the 0-5. However, the Panthers play without their starting quarterback. Meanwhile, the senior Tigers will have to travel to Atlanta to face a team of Yellow Jackets that just hung 46 points on Louisville. Later in the day, Notre Dame # 4 in Louisville and North Carolina # 5 in the state of Florida are playing in two games that might show how deserving the Fighting Irish and Tar Heels really are from their high rankings.
There’s a lot to talk about with these games and everything in between. CBS Sports will be with you every step of the way to keep you updated with the latest results, highlights, and storylines throughout the day. All times east
