Bring Cavani, Man United Evidence Listen to Van Persie “Agent” Page all

KOMPAS.com – Manchester United brought in Edinson Cavani. Evidence that they listened to Robin Van Persie’s advice.

Manchester United officially has the services of a goal-hungry striker from Uruguay, Edinson Cavani.

They announced Cavani’s arrival on Monday (5/10/2020) evening local time or Tuesday morning WIB, ahead of the closing of the transfer market.

The Red Devils did not spend a dime in the striker’s transfer operation.

The reason is, Cavani has status free agent after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires in June 2020.

Man United fenced Cavani with a one-year contract with an option to extend one season.

The Red Devils also left the jersey number 7 (seven), which is a sacred number at Old Trafford, to Cavani.

Cavani’s arrival at Man United was inseparable from the “interference” of their legend, Robin van Persie.

Van Persie, in February, once held a question and answer session on his Twitter account with a hashtag #AskRVP.

In the comments column, there is an account that asks which player Man United needs to sign in the summer.

Van Persie also answered Edinson Cavani as the profile that Man United needed to bring.

“Edinson Cavani, he’s a brilliant player and available now,” chirped Van Persie, in February.

Who would have thought, Van Persie’s fad answer was actually heard by his former club.

About seven months later, Man United really brought Cavani in the summer transfer market.

“RVP agents. Glad to see you have listened to (me), Man United,” Van Persie wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday (6/10/2020).

Robin van Persie strengthened Man United in mid 2012-2015 with 58 goals and 21 assists in 105 appearances in all competitions.

Van Persie retired at the end of the 2018-2019 season. His last club is Feyenoord Rotterdam.
