First women’s team in the league
They received their counterparts from Roquecourbe last Saturday. Despite the defeat (47-67), this meeting will be remembered by club members and their supporters.
This is the very first Senior Women team in the club’s history to play a championship match. Teammates for many years, Coralie, Coline, Alicia, Elina, Manon, Noëllie, Urangoo have climbed the different categories together since the under-13s to arrive this season in the deep end of the senior departmental championship at the height of their 18 years. The team, young, received the reinforcement of Mélissa, passed by the clubs of St Sulpice and Damiatte, as well as the return of Julie, after a stint of 2 years in Lavaur. Finally, the girls also welcomed Hanan, a beginner player but determined to improve. To supervise, a young coach from the club: Lucas Brenac. At 20, this STAPS student (sciences and techniques of physical and sports activities) will put all his knowledge at the service of girls to help them progress and obtain the best possible results. “I am very grateful to the leaders for entrusting me with this young group and with room for improvement.
