Billie Jean King: “There is still a lot to be done on equality in tennis”

Dhe Fed Cup, the counterpart to the Davis Cup for women, has a new name. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), the competition was renamed the “Billie Jean King Cup”.

The tennis legend won 39 Grand Slam titles in her career, twelve of them in singles. The 76-year-old is still fighting for equal rights for men and women – in sport as well as in society.

Question: You have dedicated your life to fighting for equality. How did that happen?
