Basketball Champions League: Bamberg wins furiously in Bologna

The team of head coach Johan Roijakkers presented itself from the first minute much more aggressive and more eager to play than two days before in the BBL Cup match against runner-up Ludwigsburg. The Bambergers immediately took the lead, steadily expanded it and thus achieved a safe away win.

Vitali hits a high percentage

With Tyler Larson (23 points), Dominic Lockhart (19), Michele Vitali (17) and Chase Fieler (16) four Bamberg players scored double-digit points. Vitali hit all four attempts at three. Roijakkers was satisfied: “We showed that we can do better than we did against Ludwigsburg on Sunday. It was crucial that we kept up the pace for over 40 minutes.”

Group F continues on Tuesday 10 November at Bilbao Basket. The Spaniards lost their first game against Pinar Karsiyaka / Turkey 72:81. The basketball Bundesliga (BBL) starts two days earlier – Bamberg will then compete at the Hamburg Towers.
