Vegesack. The badminton players of SG Aumund-Vegesack III were happy about their first victory in the association league. In the basement duel against BTS Neustadt, Tammo Graue’s team scored a 5-3 win at home. The day before the Vegesacker had to bow 2: 6 at TSV Osterholz-Tenever. But department manager Graue is completely satisfied with the result of 3: 5 points and fifth place in the table: “We have advanced three times in a row. For us it’s clearly against relegation. The win against Neustadt was very important for the intended relegation. “
TSV Osterholz-Tenever – SG Aumund-Vegesack III 2:6: At OT, the SAV had to do without Jannis Quantity, who was loaned to the second agency. Jonas Geier came from Hamburg as a substitute. That is why Tammo Graue and Michael Brennecke were set up for the first men’s doubles. They were defeated by the OT duo Ritzel / Schult, who often scored with very short balls, clearly with 21:10, 21:10. “We didn’t get out of the defense at all,” reported Tammo Graue. And in the end my opponent’s stamina decreased ”, reported the SAV team boss. But there was nothing more to get for the climber in the individual. Only the ambitious SAV-Mixed captured one point. After three rounds, Stephanie Graue and Jonas Schelling had defeated the OT team Böse / Elges-Meyer with 18:21, 21:18, 21:12.
SG Aumund-Vegesack III – BTS Neustadt 5: 3: With the best cast, the Vegesackers came to the test of strength of the cellar children. “We have to win this game,” was Tammo Graue’s announcement. The hosts were allowed to breathe a sigh of relief after the project had already been implemented in the two men’s doubles. Jannis Menge and Jonas Schelling made it exciting against the BTSN duo Lambart / Stechow: The 21:19 in the first set was followed by 14:21. In the third set, the Vegesackers captured the important point in extra time, Jonas Schelling placed an unattainable smash to 24:22. Tammo Graue and Michael Brennecke had their double opponents firmly under control.
Then it was the turn of the Neustadters. Stephanie Graue and Melanie Flöter were clearly defeated against the young BTSN women’s doubles, and Jannis Menge also had no chance against Alexander Stechow in the straight two set defeat. “He had a suitable answer for every stroke from Jannis”, reported Tammo Graue appreciatively.
The winning streak continued for the Vegesack team captain: Graue let the somewhat ailing Frank Lambart run a lot and won in two sets. Michael Brennecke also quickly defeated his opponent Jesse Spatz.
It was reserved for the SAV-Mixed to get the fifth point to victory. Stephanie Graue and Jonas Schelling needed three sets against Müscher / Wienand (19:21, 21: 9, 21:13). Team boss Tammo Graue found it necessary: ”The two of them screwed up the first sentence and only then really accelerated.”
